Conférence “La Mesure des Géants”

As part of the Festival Les Nourritures Elémentaires and this year?s theme of Les Géants, author and professor of 16th-century literature Myriam Marrache-Gouraud is the guest of the Maison Max Ernst et Dorothea Tanning. Based on the investigations of her latest book L?homme-objet (Droz éditions 2022), she will evoke the giants of Rabelaisian fiction by comparing them with the real-life giants who made certain princely collections famous. Emphasis will be placed on contrasts in size: excess is undoubtedly only a question of comparative measurements.
