An exceptional stay in Gâtine Racan
Just north of Tours, the rooms and guest houses at Château Hodebert offer a unique experience, combining comfort, history and immersion in nature. The property have been carefully renovated, preserving their authenticity and refinement. A committed approach to sustainable development is at work, in harmony with this remarkable 63-hectare natural environment.
A warm welcome in an authentic setting
As soon as you arrive, the hospitality of the owners should not leave you unmoved. Their kindness and availability are often praised by visitors. It goes without saying that Hélie and Ivana are keen to share their passion for this exceptional place, where an atmosphere of tranquillity reigns.
The three guest rooms at Château Hodebert are spacious and tastefully decorated, elegantly combining old-world charm with modern touches. High-quality bedding, original wood panelling and natural light flood the rooms, creating a cosy, soothing atmosphere. The well-equipped bathrooms, with their eco-friendly products, are another guarantee of comfort. Every detail has been thought of to offer visitors a remarkable experience, but without ostentation.
The same applies to the two guest houses (heated by pellet or heat pumps). The maison de la Grille sleeps a family of 2 adults and 2 children, while the maison des écuries sleeps 8.
For your moments of relaxation, in addition to an elegant pool table, the estate also has a heated outdoor swimming pool. Situated in the heart of the park, you can relax here, lulled by the calm of the surroundings. An outdoor massage service is also available. As for the copious breakfasts, they are prepared using organic and local produce. For example, the jams, cooked in a cauldron with organic cane sugar, are made from fruit grown at Château Hodebert or in neighbouring orchards.

A rich and fascinating history
Château Hodebert is not only a refined place to stay, it is also a living witness to several centuries of history. It has been in the same family for almost 300 years. This family continuity testifies to the owners’ commitment to preserving and enhancing this exceptional heritage.
The oldest part, the central main building in classical style, appears to date from the end of the 17th century. The château has subsequently survived the centuries, adapting to the changes of the times while retaining its original architecture. Its elegant facades, vast salons adorned with wood panelling and majestic fireplaces, and its wooded grounds make it a place where history is embodied at every turn. The soul of the place is subtly preserved by the presence of antiques and works of art, paying homage to previous generations.
The park has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1944 and the château since 2009.
