A humanist fable about immigration, set in the heart of the Calais Jungle
The play begins in the Calais Jungle. Issa, a young Eritrean, beaten and dying, has lost his memory. With his passport as the only tangible reminder of his past, he embarks on a long and arduous quest to obtain a residence permit, surrounded by his companions in misfortune.
generally speaking, I never write on a theme, but rather base my work on a specific idea or situation, which then gives rise to the architecture of the show. I wrote this new play in Guadeloupe, on my own, after having matured its contours for over a year, and after having done a great deal of research. It's not militant or documentary theater, but a human story that speaks to everyone?
