Jonathan Coe (b. 1961) began to be translated in France with his novel "Testament à l?anglaise" (1995), labelling him a "novelist of political satire". His subsequent novels have ranged from the more intimate to the more sociological.
In this presentation, in addition to "Testament à l?anglaise", we will focus on the latter.
In fictional families, through the relationships between the characters, their opposing political views, the effects of politics on their lives, he shows us the evolution of England since the middle of the 20th century.
