In this Olympic year, the Château de Montpoupon is turning its attention to sport, with a temporary exhibition entitled "Sport in the 20s at the Château de Montpoupon", providing an overview of sporting practices between the wars.
During the Roaring Twenties, the modernization of society was accompanied by profound cultural changes that helped to make sport an integral part of everyday French life.
The La Motte Saint-Pierre family was no exception to the rule, embracing a lifestyle typical of the period. They played tennis and horseback-riding, went to the seaside in summer and to the mountains in winter.
