The successful adaptation of the cult film
O Captain, my Captain... This line from Le Cercle des poètes disparus, released in France in 1990, still resonates today. Winner of the 1991 César for Best Foreign Film, Le Cercle des poètes disparus tells the story of a group of well-to-do teenagers who open up to their deepest desires thanks to John Keating, a charismatic teacher who wants to turn them into free thinkers, played at the time by Robin Williams.
Three decades later, the theatrical adaptation of this cult film is a real success, with Stéphane Freiss in the role of the magnetic John Keating, brilliantly portraying a free-spirited, committed teacher. The charm of this non-conformist teacher and the emotion aroused by his quest for emancipation are still at work.
