The Fairy Queen

Two years after the success of "Un Chemin Baroque", Ensemble Consonance, in collaboration with the Pôle Lyrique d?Excellence de Lyon, is delighted to present The Fairy Queen.
This musical adaptation of A Midsummer Night?s Dream combines the majesty of Purcell?s Baroque music with the lively spirit of Shakespearean comedies.
Three love plots are interwoven: the struggle for power and seduction between Titania and Oberon,
the passionate tumult of young Athenians Lysander, Helena, Demetrius and Hermia; and the piquant comedy of Pyramus and Thisbe.
Carried along by music as invigorating as it is poetic, it is in the joyous, tender or mysterious footsteps of Henry Purcell and William Shakespeare that we have the pleasure of leading the spectator
