Experience this exceptional evening event in a guest house

An original and inspiring change of scene – this is how you could describe your future night in Touraine.

A night on the Loire

A romantic cabin, the charmingly named Toue Reine, is located on the Loire between the pretty villages of Bréhémont and La Chapelle aux Naux. The cabin is comfortable, made of light-coloured wood and with a cosy decoration. It enjoys a wonderful view over the royal river, with russet skies and the elegant flight of herons. The dinner on the bridge is accompanied with a glass of Chinon or Bourgueil, to the soothing sound of the lapping water, and is a peaceful experience frozen in time, as little by little the sun bids farewell. The next day, it will come knocking on your door, inviting you to the see the sunrise, every bit as spectacular.

It is worth noting that the owners have a second guest house on the water, the Toue Reine and two tree cabins for anyone wishing to go up in the world…

Further west, near the confluence of the Loire and the Vienne, on the border of Touraine and Anjou, Candes-Saint-Martin and Montsoreau are among the most beautiful villages in France. Here you can step on board the Amarante for a romantic dinner, before night falls and the crew leaves you to the boat at anchor or on the shore. They will be back to bring you breakfast the next day.

Six feet under and living life to the full

The banks of the River Loire are also hills of tuffeau stone, a soft stone that was used to build the famous châteaux. Stone mining helped to create some strange troglodytic dwellings inside the stone. For the enjoyment of visitors, enthusiasts for this unusual heritage have turned them into exquisite residences. La Rochelièrein Vouvray, a famous wine region, is one of the best examples. The vast suite has a unique, convivial charm, chic and refined decoration and some remarkable details. This rare experience, as if you were living outside time, is prolonged on the pleasant and peaceful private terrace, ideal for a quiet breakfast.
