Though known mostly for its walking trails, the Échandon valley - once crossed by Joan of Arc on her way to Chinon - is also a gorgeous place to go cycling. Soak up the rich heritage of the Esvres and Veigné villages, through which the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle à Vélo cycle path runs.
