Since about 1890, four generations of the Gaudron family have lived in Vernou, running a vineyard that covers 27 hectares (67 acres). About the two-thirds of the vines are at least thirty years old on average. All the vines grown in the Vouvray appellation area are of the Chenin variety, also known as Pineau de la Loire. A few still wine vintages are stored in oak casks for several months to give them their characteristic flavour. When you come to the estate, the welcome in the wine storehouse, the visit to the cellars in the rock that go back to the 13th century (1,000 m of galleries), the commentaries and the free tasting session will help you to appreciate the aromas and flavours of our wines. We produce the wines ourselves.
