As members of the Touraine Gourmande association for the past 30 years, Geneviève and Pierre Koniecko still have the same enjoyment in sharing their passion for local cuisine.
L'Auberge de L'Île has earned recognition in all the food guides for the quality of service and cuisine. This is a gourmet spot not to be missed in southern Touraine, ideally located on an island in the River Vienne.
In fine weather, you can enjoy your meal on the terrace overlooking the river. The chef, Pierre Koniecko, with the prestigious "Maître Restaurateur" title, gives prime importance to the ingredients. His work begins where the farmer's ends and consists in making what is already beautiful into something good.
